About us

Since its birth in 2016, the Mallorca Chamber Orchestra has become one of the main players in the musical scene of the Balearic Islands. The commitment to quality, the promotion of island talent and the relocation of the music offer to the island are his maxims with which he works.

Based in Inca, the OCM has performed in more than 20 different municipalities in Mallorca, bringing concert music to municipalities where this type of offer does not normally reach. He has also performed on the stages of prestigious institutions such as the Teatre Principal de Palma and has taken his activity beyond the island, making himself known nationally and internationally with performances in halls such as the prestigious Kursaal de Manresa and at the Festival of Eljem Symphonic Music in Tunisia. He has also organized the successful festivals BTHVN Festival 2020 and the Mozart Festival 2021 in Pollença where they have brought together internationally renowned artists such as the Casals Quartet or the Quiroga Quartet and which have been well received by the public. From 2022, it will carry out its Seasonal concert activity at the new Teatre Principal d'Inca.

With the Orchestra, soloists of great national and international reputation have played such as Olivier Charlier, Aris Argiris, Iván Martín, Sandra Ferrández, Andreu Riera, Eduard Belmar, Catalina Sureda, Christian Borrrelli and also young emerging talents such as Magí Garcies, Zuzanna Sosnowska, Mario Marzo, Irene Mas, Marta Bauzà... Renowned musicians from other genres such as flamenco have also performed, as is the case with Esperanza Fernández, or singer-songwriters such as Biel Majoral or the Marala group.
